Adele is Rolling in The Money – Jamie Tuohy

From her humble beginnings in Tottenham to her meteoric rise to global superstardom, it’s no surprise that the incredibly talented Adele Laurie Blue Adkins has become known simply by her first name. Since the release of her first album, 19 in 2008, the British soul singer has been a prominent player in the music world, earning a plethora of awards and accolades.

However, she is probably best known for her record breaking 2011 album 21 which produced the now iconic songs like Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You. The album became the UK’s best selling record of the 21st century and took America by storm, becoming the longest running number one album in Billboard chart history. With copious amounts of Brits and Grammys under her belt, it’s no great surprise that Adele has been named THE RICHEST MUSICIAN UNDER 30 in 2012, by The Sunday Times Rich List.

Minted - Adele is now worth a cool £20million

With an estimated worth of a cool £20million, 2012 has most certainly been the year of Adele. The London songbird managed to beat Cheryl Cole, Katie Melua and Leona Lewis to the top spot,  all of whom featured in joint second place with equally impressive fortunes of £12million.

However, Adele is all about the music – she is down to earth, humble, funny and unfazed by her status, so like the true musician she is, I’m sure her fortune is secondary to her love of music.

Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis and previous judge Cheryl Cole came joint second, each with estimated fortunes of £12million

Congratulations Adele! You deserve it!
