Scott Disick: The Most Stylish Kardashian? – Jamie Tuohy

Whether you Keep up with the Kardashians or not, it’s hard to ignore the influence of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney on the world of media, with brand Kardashian dominating everything from the sphere of reality television to the worlds of beauty and fashion. However, one of the overlooked style icons of the ubiquitous family is Kourtney’s boyfriend, Scott Disick – hailed by The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica as “one of the most important style icons of the last decade”.

Scott’s style is the epitome of sartorial elegance – mixing the classic American preppy trend with tailor-made tuxedos and uber-cool smoking jackets (think Hugh Hefner meets Patrick Bateman in the Hamptons).  Okay, maybe his attempt to bring the walking cane into fashion wasn’t exactly his best move, but that aside, there’s no denying that Mr. Disick has style.

Favouring a more mature and classic look rather than the nonchalant style of jeans and a t- shirt (which Disick deems as “childish”), Scott will be seen wearing Polo Ralph Lauren polo shirts in a variety of colours, v-neck jumpers, velvet loafers and an array of bold and adventurous suits. His eye for detail is impeccable and has become one of his signatures – who else wears a pocket square when they’re going shopping? It’s easy to dismiss him as simply another face of ‘Brand Kardashian’, but I think Scott Disick is a forced to be reckoned with when it comes to the world of men’s fashion.

Men’s Fitness describes Disick’s style as “as classic as the Vintage Jaguar he drives around the streets of Manhattan” and like him or loathe him, there’s certainly something reminiscent of Old Hollywood about the way he dresses – elegant, sophisticated and timeless, if not a little Bond-like. Gents, if there’s one thing you should buy to pay homage to Disick’s style, (no, it’s not the Snoop-Dogg style walking cane) then it’s the classic Ralph Lauren polo shirt which, when paired with slim fit chinos and loafers, or even a suit trousers gives you that classic debonair Disick look.
