Gary Lucy to Join the Cast of Eastenders | Jamie Tuohy

Former Footballers’ Wives star Gary Lucy is joining Eastenders to play the part of a city banker, who is set to get pulses racing on Walford’s Albert Square.

The actor, who is most recognised for playing Kyle Pascoe in Footballers’ Wives (by the way, how great was that show?) will play a mischievous 28-year-old banker, named Danny Pennant and his first scenes will air in September.

While it’s not know who Danny will interact with on the Square, an Eastenders statement read, “With his irresistible charm and luring persona, Danny is desired and envied by both men and women – girls want to be seen with him and boys want to be him. He will inevitably create controversial encounters and his provocative and lustful nature is bound to land him in trouble.”

The Essex-born actor has previously competed in Dancing on Ice, as well as starring in Hollyoaks, The Dream Team and The Bill. It hasn’t been revealed how long he will be staying in the soap, but the statement tells us that Danny will cause trouble on the Square and “oozes sex appeal.”
