Get The Look: Tinie Tempah | Jamie Tuohy

As the guy who once sang “I have so many clothes I keep some in my aunt’s house”, Tinie Tempah is a seasoned pro when it comes to the world of men’s fashion. Already a Vogue favourite at the young age of 23, Tinie has won a string of awards including 2 Brits and has most recently been crowned GQ’s Best Dressed Man 2012. The British clotheshorse has reinvented ‘geek chic’, mixing classic and preppy styles with modern and edgy looks.

Tinie says he’s most likely to be wearing denim shirts, vintage Nike blazers in different colours, chinos, corduroys and his Culter and Gross specs and favours designers such as Alexander Mc Queen, Rake and Acne. He has just released his own clothing line called Disturbing London, which features his distinctive street-style fashion sense, with lots of graphic prints and his trademark chinos.

Tinie Tempah is a regular at every fashion week from London to Milan, so it’s no surprise that he has seen his status as a ‘style icon’ rise to a level almost on par with his singing career. Tinie’s style mixes the street-cool of London with high fashion Saville-Row tailoring, but you don’t have to spend an obscene amount of money to get the rapper’s look. Here’s how to create the Tempah style from River Island Online and Schuh:

Look 1

Slim Fit Blue Chinos £30

Print T-Shirt £18

Black Aztec Retro Sunglasses £16

Original White Vans €55

Look 2:

Blue Light Wash Denim Shirt £25

Black Skinny Suit Jacket £95

Dark Wash Denim Jeans £40

Black Clear Glasses £13

Nike Blazer Mid VT Trainers €90

The key to emulating Tempah’s look is all about capturing the essence of his effortlessly cool style, which is achieved by pairing luxe garments with more urban influenced pieces. With these two outfits for a fraction of the designer price tag, there’s no reason why, just like Tinie, you too shouldn’t ‘lead a very very very wild lifestyle, Heidi and Audrina eat your heart out!’ (Sorry, I had to!)
