If there is one thing Nick Grimshaw has a lot of, it’s celebrity friends! And following the news that his new job as host of BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show will require a 4am kick-off, his celebrity mates have decided to give the presenter an early morning wake-up call.
Harry Styles, Cheryl Cole, Professor Green and Rita Ora have been helping Grimshaw settle into his new role and they have recorded a video to get behind ‘#TeamGrimmy.’
The vid sees Nick’s new bestie Harry Styles swapping his famous curly locks for Nick’s trademark quiff and Professor Green helps Nick pick an outfit for the day, before he is driven to work by fellow ‘BBC-er’ Greg James.
Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora, Wiley, and Sarah Cox all feature in the video and due to inclusion of the aforementioned Styles, the promotional video has gone on to become one of the most-watched BBC vids ever, notching up 822,900 views within a week of its release.
Nick Grimshaw took over as the host of the Breakfast Show from Chris Moyles, in a move that was said to be intrinsic to the restructuring of the Breakfast Show as a music-orientated radio show, aimed at young people.
