Lady Gaga Covers Vogue’s September 2012 Issue | Jamie Tuohy

I’ve already brought you David and Victoria Beckham’s respective September issue covers, but now it is the turn of pop supremo Lady Gaga, who graces the September cover of the most prestigious magazine in fashion – Vogue.

The September issue is the most important issue in fashion, so it seems only fitting that Vogue would choose the most famous woman in the world to be their 2012 cover star.

This year marks the 120th Anniversary of Vogue and the much-coveted cover, which was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Marc Jacobs sees Gaga in a mermaid-inspired gown, with the tagline, “Think You Know Gaga? Think again.”

It is Gaga’s second Vogue cover and this time, the Born This Way singer has really upped the ante, in this fuchsia style extravaganza.

The 26-year-old superstar tells the magazine about her philosophy on making music, saying,

“I don’t really make records for people to listen to and go, ‘Wow, she’s a genius’. I’d really like you to order a drink, maybe kiss the person you came with that evening, or rediscover something about your past that makes you feel even more brave.”

Despite being one of the biggest singers on the planet, Lady Gaga admits that there are times when she favours anonymity and loves to act “irresponsibly” and like I’m nineteen.” As if to prove it, Gaga confesses,

“I’m a complete free spirit, so, even though you don’t see it, I still find time to have sex at night on the beach when no one’s around.

Or roll into a bar and get f***ed up and dance with my top off. It’s just that no one ever sees that, because I have great real friends who never let me do it when I would get caught.”

The September issue of Vogue hits newsstands on August 14.

The Greatest Thing? Cher and Lady Gaga duet is imminent | Jamie Tuohy

Lady Gaga and Cher (that’s the first Cher, not Ms Lloyd) are to duet on a new track, entitled The Greatest Thing.

Cher tweeted that she is a massive Gaga fan, and in her own ‘slightly-hard-to-discern-but-we-don’t-mind-because-this-is-major’ way revealed that she will join forces with pop supremo Lady Gaga on a track due to be released in October, which is under the working title The Greatest Thing.

Cher tweeted: “Think ALL SONGS R Great so Far & I’m not Big Fan! GREAT Writers! GAGA IS MAJOR & Her VOCAL IS AMAZING! KUK (Kuk Harrell, American songwriter and producer) Heard (The Greatest Thing) Last nite 4 1st Time & FREAKED.

She continued her cryptic tweets, by adding ““Finished Song!I LOVE IT! Cant tell names of songs cause Record CO. gave Strict ORDERS ! THINK 1st Single drops Oct. then cd near Xmas.” We know what Roll Call will be hoping to find in our stocking come Christmas!”

Allow me to translate: “I, Cher, of If I Could Turn Back Time fame think that Stephanie Germanotta is an amazing artist and I’m currently in the studio, working on my new album, which is being produced by Timbaland. It will be out at Christmas and Gaga will feature. Can’t say any more hunnies, as my label have forbade further disclosure. Talk soon sweets.”

Okay, this might be a slight embellishment, but the hard facts are there. Cher is working with Timbaland and her album will be out at Christmas time, with a Gaga duet released in October.

Is Lady Gaga on the Edge of Royal Glory?

For many, she is the undisputed Queen of Pop and now it seems that Lady Gaga has found her crowning glory – a £30,000 custom-made tiara.

The 26-year-old Born This Way singer purchased the tiara from high-end luxury designer Louis Vuitton after becoming obsessed with the Royals following the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The eccentric pop-star is believed to wear the item even when she is in the kitchen and carrying out domestic chores. While the part about constantly wearing the tiara may be true, Lady Gaga carrying out her own chores seems to involve more than a little stretch of the imagination? Surely one has a butler for that, dear?

Meanwhile, the star has been hitting the headlines, for playing a sample of her a new track to her “Little Monsters” – from her car!

Gaga fans went wild as she blasted a few second of the track, but her Monsters will have to wait until September for the singer to release the name of her forthcoming album. She has already a controversial, melancholy ballad, entitled Princess Die, which is an obvious pun on the late Princess Diana’s moniker.
